Our Staff

Our staff are chosen because they love children, are friendly, experienced and, most of all, are passionate about excellent childcare.

Whilst each team member knows all the children in our care, your child will have the support of an individual member of staff who will be their key worker throughout their journey with Little Bugs Childcare (someone who is their ‘turn to’ adult). This team member ensures your child settles in quickly and builds close relationships with your child and yourself.

Professional staff

Little Bugs Childcare recognises the quality of staff is key and is committed to the highest levels of staff development. The team is qualified to Level 3 in Early Years education and furthermore some members of staff have relevant degrees. Staff attend courses to ensure they’re up to date with childcare legislation, Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Basic Food Hygiene etc. They may also choose to specialise in areas of particular interest such as Special Educational Needs.

Key members of the team

Jane is the Nursery Manager who has worked at Little Bugs Childcare since it opened in 2013. She is qualified in Early Years to degree level and has worked as a private nanny, in schools, private day nurseries and voluntary child activities such as becoming a Beaver Scout Leader - but most of all is a parent herself! She loves managing a safe, happy and stimulating environment for children.

'I've worked in childcare for more years than I would like to admit. I love to watch and help the children in care to learn and develop new skills which are going to help them in the future. I feel that the best thing we can do as childcare practitioners is to encourage children to fully appreciate their childhood and treasure it and the memories they will make. I’m very proud of the passionate and caring team we have here.'

Becky is one of the Little Bugs Deputy Managers. Becky has also being a part of the team since opening in 2013. Becky has a BTEC National Diploma in Level 3 in Early Years.

'I have worked with babies, toddlers, pre-school and reception classes and enjoy building great relationships with children whilst helping them learn and develop new skills. Our Nursery is made up of lovely, welcoming childcare professionals who believe in providing the very best care for your child and catering for their individual needs.'

Kaley is also a Deputy Manager. Kaley has worked in childcare since 2008 and has extensive experience with all agre groups from babies through to pre-school children. Working her way up from practitioner to Deputy Manager, she recently completed her BA Hons in Educational Leadership for the Children's Workforce.

'I love working as part of a team and leading motivated professionals to provide high quality care. Seeing a child take their first steps to saying their first words and then preparing for their first day at school is an amazing process to be a part of.'
