Facilities for Caterpillars (0 to 3 years)

The indoor space is a loving, calm and caring environment for babies and toddlers to explore and discover the world around them. The staff to child ratio is 1:3 which means that your child is cared for in a safe and secure environment.

We have a separate baby area and space for older children including a room where they can enjoy storytelling, relaxing and the daytime sleep that they need.

We promote Baby Led Weaning (BLW) which encourages your baby’s natural curiosity in food by providing a menu for them to explore and enjoy, to develop their interest in food. Weaning usually starts around six months when our qualified staff will work with each parent to decide what routine and which foods are best for your child.

Facilities for Butterflies (3 to 5 years)

In this setting our children can move around the open plan facility and access everything themselves. We encourage them to have control over their environment and explore independently.

Children also love our story or quiet area. This is made up of soft and fluffy rugs, which means that your child can lounge around when having a few minutes of reflection time or enjoying a story with their friends.

All our children play in Creepy Crawlies each day until 9.30am (included in the fees) when it opens to the public.

Outdoor setting

We believe there’s no such thing as the 'wrong weather' so we hold outdoor activities every day and dress appropriately!

Next to the indoor space is a secure outdoor classroom which includes amazing facilities such as a large sit-in sand area, high and low-level water area, flower beds for growing plants and herbs and even a mud kitchen!

We have some beautiful outdoor spaces for exploration, exclusive to our Little Bugs, including a Forest School area for pond dipping and an orchard for growing and picking different fruits.

Children also have access to the Creepy Crawlies outdoor play equipment which includes mini-trikes, mini beach and water park. They visit the animal zone and learn about feeding and grooming the animals with the zone staff and they have their own guinea pig to care for which they help feed, clean out and handle daily.
